I believe Jesus is speaking here of eternal life. Jesus loved the woman and even told her many things about her that he couldn&#8217;t have known such as multiple husbands. Jesus was reaching out to her and in the same way Jesus reaches out to us today to provide salvation. John 4:11 says, &#8220;The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?&#8221; Jesus is the living water, He is the only way to salvation. Christ loves us all dearly and wants everyone to be saved. I am thankful for the living water (eternal life) Jesus provides and His deep love for humankind.
