2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing we can take from that verse is that when we accept Jesus we should behave like Jesus as a disciple of Him. We will never be perfect like Jesus but God does desire for us to be a walking example of Christ. Often, when Christians don’t act morally they discourage others from becoming Christians. God’s unmerited favor has saved us but we should not use it as an excuse to sin over and over. We are lucky that God’s grace covers sins, but Paul did instruct us to live as citizens of Heaven in Philippians 1:27 which says, “Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.” Amen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
