He Guides Us

Revelation 3:15 says, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.” What does this mean? It is talking about how we should not be lukewarm in our faith. We should be strong in faith and growing in faith daily. When we are just partial followers of Jesus and not sincere it can cause us to stall in our faith. God loves us and desires for us to walk with Him daily. When we walk with God the Holy Spirit will guide and direct us. Praise God for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Trust in God

Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” What does that mean? It means that God’s ways are beyond our understanding and that we should trust Him rather than ourselves. We need to grow and mature in our faith. Obedience and courage is the key. We should not hold back but go forward with God as He will not let us fail. Matthew 7:11 speaks of how God will provide when He says, “…how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”. Praise God that He is the great provider. Amen

Great Faith

A man of great power trusted Jesus and said, “…But say the word, and my servant will be healed… Luke 7:7”. Luke 7:9 says, “When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” What does the Roman centurion’s response indicate? It shows that we should be humble as believers and acknowledge that Jesus can do anything. This man’s great faith should be a model for us that we should trust in Jesus. This was a man of great authority who trusted that Jesus could heal his servant by the spoken word. Jesus was amazed and happy that this guy had such faith, more than He had seen in all Israel. Praise God for His power and mercy. Amen

Jesus Remains The Same

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus both existed before the world and is also eternal. “Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began! John 17:24” Micah 5:2 says, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” What does all this mean? Well, these are verses about Jesus Christ the Lord, God & Savior of humankind. Jesus existed before He was born of the Virgin Mary. He is and was God and always will be. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” What does that mean? It means that God is good Jesus, is God His values, behavior, and nature never changes. Praise God that Jesus never changes and for His love for us. Amen

We Can Conquer Anything

We sometimes may fear, but we should trust in God. That being said God desires for us not to fear but to trust in Him and know that everything will work-out for the good. Isaiah 41:10 God tells us to not to fear. “He says, Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Praise God for the strength He gives. Mark 4:420 Jesus says, “…Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” What does all this mean? It all comes down to putting 100% of our trust in God and knowing that we can conquer anything as long as we follow Him closely. God is the best friend we could have as the Bible teaches the greatest thing someone can do is die for you. Dying for our sins is exactly what Jesus did and it is through that atonement and placing our faith in Him that we are saved. Praise God for His grace and mercy. Amen

Don’t Worry

“For we which have believed do enter into rest…” (Hebrews 4:3a KJV). “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28” What do those verses mean? It means that we as Christians should trust in Christ and lay our sins & worries down at the cross. Jesus desires for us not to be overcome with worry. Jesus loves us and is there to comfort us and the Holy Spirit is in our hearts to guide us. Praise God for His love and the rest He gives. Amen

Paul & The Churches

Paul cared deeply for the church. He said, “For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. Colossians 2:5” When the church grew he was happy. Had it not been for Paul the Gospel may not have spread as quickly. Our loving God took a man who hated the church and arrested Christians and chose Him to lead the churches and spread the Gospel. Nothing is impossible with God and Paul was faithful to God. At times Paul would say follow His example. Praise God for people like the Apostle Paul who spread the love and Gospel of Jesus. Amen

Salvation

Jesus is good and God. Jesus said in John 8:24, “…if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”. What does that mean? It means that unless we believe Jesus is God and died for our sins we will suffer the punishment for our sins. However, on the plus side if we do believe in Jesus and accept Him we are adopted into the family of God and promised the gift of eternal life. The eternal life promised by God is not because of what we’ve done but because of what Jesus did when He died on the cross to pay for our sins. Praise God for His amazing grace and offer of salvation. Amen

God is Good

We know from the scriptures that God is good all the time and in Him we should trust. “Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Psalms 34:8”. God is so good and loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. When we accept Jesus and believe in Him and His death on the cross we are promised eternal life in Heaven when we die. Praise God for His amazing grace. Amen

Saved By Grace

The Bible teaches that we are saved by the grace of God. Since we are not saved by works the Apostle Paul talks about this in Romans the idea of how we should behave. Romans 6:1 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”. What does that mean? Well, the Bible teaches that we are ‘born again’ basically a new person when we accept Christ. So if we truly believe and accept Jesus our lifestyle should change. We should not do good only to merit salvation but out a love for God and a transformed life. Every religion in the world besides Christianity teaches that we are saved because of what we do. Christianity teaches we are saved because of what Christ did and His atoning death and resurrection for our sins. Praise God for His abundant grace and mercy. Amen
