Grace Abound

“Romans 6:1: What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”. Paul teaches us here that we should try to be good people. All sins are covered through Jesus and we should be dead to sin and alive through Christ by faith. We have liberty in Jesus and should pray when tempted to sin and do our best to overcome. We are fortunate that Jesus covers our sins but out of love for Him it is good to not grieve God by continually doing the same sins. Amen

Saved

Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” When we pray to Jesus and give our lives over to Christ He saves us from our sins. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Jesus teaches in Matthew 10:32 that if we confess Him before others He will confess us before God. Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”. Doing good things in the name of the Lord is one way to confess that we believe in Christ. When we believe we are given a new nature and God forgives us of all our mistakes. Christ often confessed the Father before others and wants us to do the same. We must acknowledge God. Amen

Who is Christ?

Who is Christ? Christ was made of the seed of David according to the flesh.  Christ was declared the Son of God with power through the spirit of holiness by His resurrection from the dead.  By Christ’s blood we have received grace.  We should serve God with our spirits in the Gospel of His son without stopping.  I hope that God will give us some spiritual gifts so that in the end we may be firm with our hearts in God.  I mean to say that we may be comforted by both of our faiths in God.

“Romans 1:3-4 concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” Jesus is God’s son and the second part of the trinity. We must believe Jesus is God, the Messiah and Savior of the world. “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” Amen

Love Neighbor

“Romans 13:8: Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.” What does this mean? Well, both Jesus and the apostle Paul have made it clear that we should love everyone. Jesus showed great compassion on others while on earth. We should follow the example of Jesus and the golden rule. The golden rule is to love our neighbor as much as our-self. Jesus made it clear that this was the law to obey. Jesus loved us so much He died for us and then rose from the dead. Praise God. Amen

Dead to World

When we accept Christ we are dead to the world and alive to God. Romans 6:4 says, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”. There is the physical baptism and also the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We should allow God to direct us in our life. We should set our minds on good things and on Christ. God’s laws are written on our hearts helping us know right and wrong. We should not just read and hear the Bible, we should do our best to obey it. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’. Praise God for His grace and love. Amen

Foundation of the World

God created us, the heavens, the earth and everything. “Psalm 93:1 – “Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm.” “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. Ephesians 1:3-4” Jesus did in fact exist in the beginning and created everything. God knew Adam and Eve would sin and before the foundation of the world had planned to send Jesus to die for the sins of His people. I am thankful that God’s grace and mercy is unlimited. God’s judgements are right and His favor unmerited. Praise God for giving up His only son to save us. Amen

New Life

God is a good God and will not forget when we do good deeds. When we do that we are going above and beyond because they are not required for salvation. Even, so God desires that those that believe in Jesus live moral lives. “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:10”. We know that God will remember our good works and will reward us in Heaven for them. I am thankful that God will forgive our sins. When we become saved we are part of the body of Christ, forgiven through Him. Romans 6:6 says, “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”. We are free in Christ who rose from the dead, He can and will give us strength to fight against sinning. We will never be perfect until we get to Heaven and are perfected in Him, but would should try our best. Amen

God Loves Us

Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” When Jesus died on the cross people were already sinners not obeying God fully.  1 John 4:19, “We love him, because he first loved us.” God so loved the world that He came and died on our behalf. It is great to know that Jesus also rose from the dead as further proof that He is God. We should all love God with all mind, soul & strength. God has always loved sinners and is a gracious God that does not require good works for salvation. God has saved Christians by the undeserved kindness of God. Praise God! Amen.

Cleansed Sin

We should live our lives as Christians in the Gospel. We through Christ have died to the world and become alive in Christ through God. Jesus loves each and everyone of us so much He was willing to take our sin upon Himself by dying on the cross for our sins. God wants all to be saved and the atonement is only possible through Christ. Hebrews 9:22, “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”. Back in the Old Covenant or Old Testament the blood shed by animals cleansed sin. However, it was only a temporary thing because it had to be done yearly. Hebrews 7:27, “Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”. That verse is speaking of Christ He is the ultimate atonement for sins our high priest and God Himself. Amen

Gift of Life

Jesus is God. Christ loves everyone and has given us the gift of life. Acts 17:28 says, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” When we live in Christ we are able to separate ourselves from the world. God desires for the whole world to know Him. It’s not just hearing about Christ but receiving Him as Lord and Savior. Jesus died for our sins and desires to give us an abundant life. John 10:10, “… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”. Amen
