God Is One

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is God. We see this in John Chapter 1, “John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”. Ephesians 4:6, “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” 1 John 5:8, “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” The Bible teaches that Jesus is God and that God is only one being. Micah teaches that Jesus is eternal, “…whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”. It’s great news to know that Jesus always existed and also that He died for our sins, John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Praise God for He is one and for His love for us to that point where He died for us (and rose from the dead). Amen

Faith Only

James 2:24 says, ” What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?”. What we should note is that works show our faith but we are not saved by works. We should do good works out of love for God and that helps show that we believe. When we do good things we glorify God and show our love for Him. The Bible does teach that we are saved by faith alone Romans 3:20 says, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”. Praise God for His love and ability to help us do good and fight against sin. Amen

Avoid Idols

The Bible teaches us to avoid idols but what does that mean? Well, anything we love too much can become an idol such as a person, money, our job or other things. Very few people in today’s world worship statues like they sometimes did in ancient days. Jesus went into the wildness as part of His mission to be tempted by Satan and when faced with difficulty He quoted scripture saying “For it is written: ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.'” (Matthew 4:10b NASB). We should be strong in our testimony of God and the more scripture we know the better equipped we can be to fight against temptation. Praise God for His word, His sacrifice for us on the cross and His love. Amen

Light Shine

Matthew 5:16 Jesus teaches that we should let our light shine before others and the glory will be to God. However, what does this mean? It means when we love others, do good things for them and treat them right we are being good Christians’ and can help them see the truth of who God is. When we do evil and treat others wrong it may reflect bad on Jesus and drive them from believing. That’s why Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”. Praise God for His grace and help in letting our light shine and glorify God. Amen

Good News

God is a great God. Jesus taught that when He died and rose He would prepare a place for us in Heaven. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”. The Good News is all we have to do is believe and accept Jesus as Savior and we will go to Heaven when we die. God’s grace is good enough to cover all our sins. Once we accept Jesus we should do our best to not sin as much but when we do God’s grace still kicks-in. Praise God for His abundant grace and mercy. Amen

Salvation & God’s Love

There is nothing greater than the love God has for us and His amazing gift of salvation through faith alone. We should repent and accept Jesus as He is the only way to Heaven. “Philippians 3:8: Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, Philippians 3:9: And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” What does all this mean? It means that when God looks at Christians’ He does not see them as wicked and sinful but He sees them right before God through Jesus Christ and accepting His atonement on the cross. Romans 3:20 says, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”. It’s great news to know that unlike many religions Christianity does not teach that we need to work our way to Heaven. When we do good works we should do them out of love for others and for God. Praise God for His grace and mercy. Amen.

Clean Heart

We should be mindful of the love of God and desire for Him to create in us a clean heart. Faith is shown where we are. When we allow God to lead us He will help us grow our spirits in Him. It should be our desire to have a clean heart before God. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence.” Psalm 51:10-11 ESV”. It’s great news to know how loving God is and His desire for us to become more like Him. Praise God, for His love and ability to make us reborn in Him. Amen.

Bible is True

The Bible is true. It teaches that to those that don’t believe in the Holy Bible it may seem foolish. However, to those that are saved God’s Word is the power of God which saves us. It is not foolish to believe the Bible and its teaching that Jesus is God provides the only way to Heaven. “Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect 1 Peter 3:15b ESV”. What does that mean? It means that since our faith is rational we should be able to explain it to others but do so with love for others. Praise God that His Word is true and that He loves us. Amen

Empty Tomb

The tomb of Jesus was empty Sunday morning when the women went to the tomb. “…Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. Mark 16:6”. It is through Jesus’ death and blood on the cross we are saved. Jesus proved He is and was God by rising from the dead. Christ has risen indeed and loves us so much. Jesus is alive in Heaven today. It’s amazing that God loved us enough to humble Himself and come down as a man and die for our sins. There is no greater love that God could have given then to sacrifice Himself on the cross for our sins. Jesus came, was beaten, had a crown of thorns put on His head, and was nailed to the cross then He rose from the dead. May we all know, love and accept Jesus. Amen.

Good Shepherd

The Bible teaches that Jesus is the Good Shepherd who desires to lavish us with His goodness. Jesus came to die for our sins, In John 10:11 Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”. Jesus knows us all and desires to have a relationship with us, John 10:14 says, “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”. Jesus’ knows all Christians and desires for everyone to be saved, He knows our past and the future. The Kingdom of God is big enough for everyone and Jesus teaches that He died and rose from the dead to help the Father prepare a place for us in Heaven. Praise God for Jesus Christ the Good Shepherd and Savior of our souls. Amen
