Saves Us

God is here and if we repent He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins, and make us clean. Jesus is the only way to be right before God. Through Jesus we are forgiven and seen as perfect before God. While we are not perfect Jesus died for us and stands in the gap between God and us. We can only be forgiven through Christ. “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22”. The blood of Jesus dying in our place on the cross is what saves us from damnation in hell. Amen

Last Days

God is calling us in these last days to trust in Him and not be ignorant. “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; – 1 Corinthians 10:1”. We should study God’s words carefully. Acts 17:11 says, “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”. As Christian’s we can have confidence that God will keep His promise and give the gift of eternal life to all those that accept Him. When we have God in us we should not live worldly lives. When we accept Christ our spirit is dead and buried with Him, we are a new creation. We should serve God in truth and trust that His power will be upon us. We should have joy in tough times that the power of God might be upon us. The joys and sorrow of life are for a short time but God’s promises are eternal.

God Loves Us

God loves us and we love Him. “We love him, because he first loved us. – 1 John 4:19”. According to Hebrews 11:6 God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. We should focus our hearts on God and be thankful for His Gospel. 1 Corinthians 15:4 says, “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” We need to realize that Jesus is coming back soon to bring a New Heaven and a New Earth called New Jerusalem which comes down from Heaven Revelation 3:12 says this and also says ” I will write upon him my new name”. He will give us names to designate our existence, nature, and responsibility in the Kingdom. The only way to overcome sin is through the blood of Jesus Christ and His mercy which He has upon those who are saved when we enter Heaven we shall be without sin through Christ Jesus. We need to always remember that our God is a mighty God. He is a God of miracles and with Him all things are possible. “Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”

Promises

The Bible teaches that God loves us and will keep His promises. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise… 2 Peter 3:9”. God has promised Heaven to all those that believe and receive Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:6”. Christ brings hope and peace in the midst of uncertainty. God’s timeless promises intersect with the challenges and triumphs of our lives today.

Light Shine

According to John 11:9 if you walk in Jesus then you are the light of this World.  Jesus is perfect, and cares about each and everyone of us.  We should follow God with a willing heart and always remember that God is a loving God. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. – Matthew 5:16”.

Lord is Strength

The Lord Jesus is the only way to Heaven. God is truthful so He keeps His promise of eternal life for everyone that accepts Him. Jesus loves us more than we can imagine and wants the best for us in our lives. God’s judgements are full of compassion and God forgives us of our sins only through Jesus. When God looked down at Jesus on the cross He knew that someday you and I would be born and given the chance to accept Him. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. God became the Son of Man so that we could be called sons of God. The Lord will help us with our challenges in our life. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” There is nothing we can’t do with God’s help. Amen

Word of God

The Bible is a great book; it’s a book of miracles.  It teaches us many things about God and His people.  The Bible is made up of sixty six books.  These books were written by over forty men.  It has an amazing record of accuracy and is a testimony to billions that God is real.  My hope is that God will make Himself real to you.  We need to have faith and wait on God.  Rely on God and He will open doors in your life.  “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. – 2 Peter 1:21”. The Word of God is eternal because it never changes, God also never changes. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”.

God is Greater

1 John 4:4 says greater is God that is in us than anything in the world.  According to Jeremiah 29:11 God has great plans for us and desires the best for us, this means that God will not harm us, or as in Hebrews 13:5 He will not leave us or forsake us.  According to Philippians 4:19 our God is a loving God and according to His faithfulness He will provide for our needs.  Once again we need to remember that God has never left us and will never forsake us. “We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19”. Romans 8:39 says, “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”.

Rely on God

The Bible teaches that we should live as Citizens of Heaven. We can live life on earth doing our best and following after Heavenly things. Romans  8:6 says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” We should obey God rather than the sinful desires of our flesh or body. In our flesh is sin and no good thing. Sin can keep us from what God has in store for us. Jeremiah 29:11 God tells us He has plans for us to prosper and do well. God wants us to excel and make most of our lives. Sometimes we are prevented from God’s plan by choosing sin over God. Sin divides us from God but Jesus Christ connects us to the Grace of God. The love of God and His promise that He will provide for us is something we should strongly desire. Philippians 4:9, “God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Mark 16

Mark chapter 16 was a very good chapter. It is amazing because the disciples seem to have no idea that Jesus would rise from the dead. Although in the Gospels it appears He told that many times it would happen. How many times has God spoken to us and maybe we just didn’t take the time to listen? I’m thankful that God speaks to me through His word and through His Holy Spirit it is also interesting that no one believed the people when they reported they had seen Jesus, because the Gospel clearly mentions this was destined to happen. It makes me wonder how many times in my life has God been saying something would happen and maybe I just didn’t believe or hear him? I know that God is faithful. I’m thankful for that and know He will continue to shape me and mold me. The passage about being a disciple of all nations is wonderful because I believe ever since the beginning of creation God has always desired for us to have that kind of discipleship with Him.
