Provision

The Bible teaches us not to worry and to trust in God. While we can prepare for tomorrow, we don’t want to be overcome with concern about tomorrow. Jesus said in Matthew 6:26, “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”“ God helps provide for us. We are blessed to be so loved by God. Even when we struggle God’s Holy Spirit is there to comfort us. Praise God for His provision and love. Amen

Forgives All Sins

God is just and yet still willing to forgive our sins. The blood of Jesus on the cross 2,000 years ago paid for our sins in full. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” “I will forgive their iniquity, I will remember their sin no more.” Jer 31:34b. Jesus’ desire for us is that we may know the true God and Himself. When Jesus was praying to God he said in John 17:3 “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”. Jesus teaches in the scripture that if we accept Him he is willing to forgive any and all our sins. Thank God for His abundant grace and mercy. Amen

His Voice

We should trust 100% in the Lord who understands all things. We should not trust in our own wisdom or understanding and we learn this in Proverbs Chapter 5. “Proverb:3:5: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” “Proverb:3:6: In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” God loves us and His spirit will lead us as we trust in Him and follow His voice. Jesus uses the metaphor of His followers being sheep that are led by Him. John 10:27 says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” As we follow the Lord we can know that His grace and forgiveness is given to us through faith in Him and His word. Amen.

Love God & Everyone

“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.” (Romans 12:10 ESV) Jesus teaches that the most important thing is to love God and love our neighbor. When we love God we are likely to love others also. We should love God with all our heart & strength. God loved us first so we should love Him totally and completely. We should love one another with genuine love. God is love. Jesus loved us enough to die on the cross but it didn’t stop there He also rose from the dead and told His disciples to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth. I am thankful for God’s love and the Gospel. Amen

Jesus’ Ministry

During Jesus’ ministry on earth people demanded Him to prove His authority. The greatest proof we have is Him rising from the dead. Jesus did say this in Luke 11:29, “…This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.” The Pharisees were perhaps one of Jesus’ largest critics. It was the religious people of the day that often tested Him. Jesus draws similarity to the story of Jonah and unveils His own divine mission of redemption and resurrection. Jesus helps reveal the dangers of hypocrisy, calls for genuine living and to draw all people to Him. May, we all “…know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. – John 17:3” Praise God for His Gospel. Amen

No Shame

We should not have shame about the Gospel. The Bible teaches that it is a very powerful thing and what saves us. Without Jesus Christ there is no way to be saved. Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”. While, to a non-believer the Gospel may seem foolish when we are saved we understand it is the power of God and His grace that saves us. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”. May we all seek and praise God for His amazing gift of salvation. Amen

God’s Unchangeable

Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” God is eternal and unchangeable. While times change and standards change, what God says is right and wrong remains the same. “Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Psalm 119: 89 NIV.” At the same time there is the grace of God which forgives us when we fail to live up to God’s standards. The Apostle Paul teaches that we should do our best not to sin. When we do sin the blood of Jesus Christ is more than enough to forgive us. Romans 6:1 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”. Praise God that His grace is enough to cover all our sins. Amen

Purified Before Christ

When we accept Jesus our sins are forgiven and we are purified before Christ. “I will forgive their iniquity, I will remember their sin no more.” Jer 31:34b. What does that mean? It means that the blood of Jesus is what makes us appear before God as without sin. The Bible teaches that if we don’t accept Jesus then the result of sin is death. When we receive Jesus we are reborn and a new person in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Praise God that we are forgiven through Jesus Christ and His love for us. Amen

Faith Is…

What is faith? Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”. What does that mean? It means that faith in God while there is much evidence of Biblical events there is still an element of faith that it takes to believe in God. When God speaks to our hearts and we feel His spirit that is the evidence that God is real. It is wise to believe in God. Psalms 53:1 says, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.  Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.”. To those that don’t believe the Gospel is nearly impossible to understand until they become a believer in Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:8 says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”. Praise God for His grace and mercy. Amen

Good News

God desires for us to listen to Him and His Word. We learn in Revelation that we should not be lukewarm and also desire to understand what God is speaking to our hearts. ““Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. Revelation 2:11a NLT” When we are lukewarm we are double minded and not being sincere in our following of God. We need to direct our hearts towards Jesus and strive to do what God says. The good news is even though we stumble, Jesus’ blood is more than enough to cleanse us from our sins. I thank God for the purification Jesus’ blood gives. Amen
